of hope

or of fear

therefore

send out only those

you wish

to have

return

to you

God chose stronger souls than mine

to suffer pain

that I cannot imagine

yet silently

I whimper

and cry

for my inconveniences

and unfound joy

ever forgetting

how fortunate

I am

I feel so lost

I feel so lost I don’t know who I am

Everything looks familiar like I have seen it in a dream

Nothing seems real though

I don’t know who I am

I cry but no sound comes out

Just tears to remind me

Of who I’ve lost

I have heard it said

That there is nothing new under the sun

So is that why this bitter pain feels so familiar

Or is it a trick to make me stay

In the darkness

Of my making

Catch me now

Before I fall

Into this hole I’ve dug

Oh wait

Its too late

I guess all there is left to do now

Is to wave

Goodbye

Are you looking for shadows in the dark

Something you know you will never find

But you like the searching

You like to be unkind

To yourself

For even wanting

Something

Someone

Better for you

Don’t be too hard on yourself

I have magic flowing from my fingertips

When I pour my pain out onto the page

But do you my friend

Have a place to seek solace

When those shadows find you

Even when you are hiding in the light
